(VIGO CO.) - A Linton man was killed following an early Tuesday morning crash on US 41 near Boot City.
According to the Vigo County Sheriff's Department, 68-year-old Russell Ewers of Linton was driving northbound on US 41 around 6 a.m. Tuesday when he drove his car off the road and into a ditch in the median.
His vehicle continued through the ditch and became airborne, rolling over through the southbound lanes and landing in a field.
Ewers was ejected from the vehicle. A witness called 911 and started CPR.
Ambulance crews took Ewers to Regional Hospital where he died of his injuries.
