(LOOGOOTEE) - On Saturday, Loogootee Police arrested three people after a traffic stop on Broadway Street at Chuckles fueling station.
Police stopped a yellow Jeep Wrangler and a canine was requested to the scene. The dog alerted police to drugs in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and the driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Christopher Villanueva, handed the officer a bag containing marijuana.
Police also found numerous other pills and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Villanueva was arrested on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, dealing in a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a minor possession of alcohol.
Police also arrested two passengers. 19-year-old Bryce Mathena of Jasper was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, dealing in a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and minor possession of alcohol. 18-year-old Evelin Aleman of French Lick was charged with visiting a common nuisance and possession of marijuana.
