(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are investigating a shooting that left one dead and one injured this morning.
Bloomington Police believe the person killed and injured were involved in a domestic dispute and no one else was involved in the incident.
Police were called to the 500 block of South Basswood Drive after a report of shots fired at 3 a.m. this morning.
Outside an apartment building, they found a 31-year-old Antoine Hill and a 25-year-old woman with gunshot wounds.
Monroe County Coroner Joani Shields says Hill was declared dead at IU Health Bloomington hospital. An autopsy is scheduled for 3 p.m. today.
The woman was taken by ambulance to IU Health Bloomington hospital where police say she is undergoing surgery.
The incident remains under investigation.
