(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman complained of neck pain after her Ford Explorer was rear-ended Tuesday morning on 16th Street near B Street.
According to a Bedford Police report, 38-year-old Shannon Keith of Bedford had stopped her 2013 black Ford Explorer to turn into her driveway, just east of B Street, when her vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2001 Toyota Tacoma pickup driven by 17-year-old Nikolas Beaver of Bedford.
Beaver told police he had turned onto 16th Street just prior to the crash and was accelerating up the hill and when he reached the crest and saw a man standing on the north side of the roadway attempting to cross the road. He told police he looked over at the male as he was passing him and when he looked back he noticed the Explorer stopped. Beaver told police he couldn't get his pickup stopped in time and collided into the rear of the Explorer.
Beaver was not injured.
Keith complained of pain and stiffness to her neck and was treated at the scene and released. She told police she would have someone drive her to the hospital for further testing.
