(PAOLI) - Paoli Police arrested five people Sunday night following a series of events that started when officers pulled over a vehicle seen leaving a residence where several reports of drug activity had been made.
Offices stopped the vehicle driven by David Knieriem.
During that traffic stop, Police canine Nero alerted police to possible drugs inside. During a search of the vehicle and found meth and drug paraphernalia.
Police then obtained a search warrant for the home Knieriem left at 307 East Water Street. During the search police found meth, meth precursors, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, digital scales and a handgun.
Police arrested three people inside the home and another arrived on the scene during the search.
Police arrested:
Daniel Rypma on charges of dealing meth with a firearm, possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Felishia Kirby on charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, visiting a common nuisance.
Lyle Gillean on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia. Gillean was also wanted on a Scott County warrant for resisting law enforcement and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
