(NEEDMORE) - The Salt Creek Brewery Run/Walk is raising funds for the Batcole Foundation, April 14.
Salt Creek Brewery will host its annual 5K run and walk on Saturday, April 14 at 4 p.m. This year only, for the 5th anniversary of the run, there will also be a 10K option.
Race proceeds benefit the Batcole Foundation, a Lawrence County based charity which supports families of child cancer patients. More information about the foundation can be found at https://batcole.foundation/.
Race details and early registration are online at http://bit.ly/scbrace2018. Early registration is available online only through April 12 at 11:30 p.m.
All registrants get to enjoy a glass of either craft beer (must be 21+) or homemade soda after the race. Early registrants also receive a souvenir pint glass; extra glasses will be available first-come first-served to same day registrants.
The early registration rate for the 5K run/walk is $22, with a special rate of $17 for kids under 15. Same day registration for the 5K is $25 for all ages and will be available at the Salt Creek Brewery on April 14 from 3-3:45 p.m.
For the special 5th anniversary 10K option, runners will traverse the challenging course both backwards and forwards. The 10K is limited to just 50 runners and you can only sign up for it during early registration. The cost for the 10K is $27 for all ages; everyone who completes the 10K will receive a finisher's gift.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 overall (male and female) in the 5K run, the top 3 overall (male and female) in the 5K walk, the top 2 runners (male and female) in the 10K, and to the top 2 finishers in each age group in the 5K run.
The Salt Creek Brewery 5K is also part of the 2018 Mag 7 Racing Series.
