(COLUMBUS) - A tip about drug activity Sunday on Seymour’s east side landed two Columbus residents in jail.
Jackson County Police arrested 24-year-old Katherine Danielle Ritchison on felony charges of auto theft, dealing meth, possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana/hashish and driving while driver's license suspended and 31-year-old Brandon J. Ramos faces felony charges of dealing in meth and possession of meth and visiting/maintaining a common nuisance and misdemeanor charges of dealing in marijuana/hashish, possession of marijuana/hashish and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police say the two were arrested after the Sheriff's Department received a tip of possible drug activity outside of a hotel on Outlet Boulevard. The caller says those involved left the hotel in a silver Nissan Pathfinder with Kentucky license plates and drove to a convenience store at Tipton Street and Stephens Way.
Police located the vehicle at the store and found the license plate on it did not match the vehicle's description. After checking the identification number on the vehicle police determined it had been stolen from Seymour in February.
Police found both Richardson and Ramos had meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and electronic scales.
The two were arrested and are being held in the Jackson County Jail without bond pending their initial hearing.
