Last updated on Wednesday, March 7, 2018

(SEYMOUR) - A woman and her boyfriend were arrested Tuesday after she stabbed him while the two were playing a “game” with a knife on a Megabus traveling south on Interstate 65 near Seymour.

Indiana State Police arrested 19-ear-old Lebria Earstein Graham, of North Chicago, Illinois, on charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon, according to news release from Sgt. Stephen Wheeles with the Indiana State Police Post at Versailles.

Graham's 19-year-old boy friend, Xavier Collins of Waukegan, Illinois, was arrested after being treated for a knife injury to his leg at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, said Sgt. Wheeles.

Collins faces an obstruction of justice charge after the incident reported by the bus driver at about 6 a.m. Tuesday.

During the investigation, detectives with the state police were able to determine the stabbing occurred as the bus was traveling south on Interstate 65 north of Seymour, Sgt. Wheeles said.

He said police were told the two had been playing a "game" with the knife while they were on the upper deck of the bus. At some point during the "game," Graham stabbed Collins in the leg with the knife, which was later recovered by police.

After the stabbing occurred, the bus driver exited the interstate, stopped at a gas station at 2119 E. Tipton St. and waited for police to arrive. Graham was arrested at that time, and Collins was arrested after being released from the hospital when he became uncooperative and provided a false name.

The pair were both being held without bond Tuesday night at the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown pending their initial court appearances.
