(BEDFORD) - A Kentucky woman was arrested on a warrant after police say she hit and spit on police and medical staff following her rescue from White River.
Police arrested 47-year-old Anita Keller, of Clarkson, KY., on two counts of battery by bodily waste.
According to a Lawrence County Superior Court I probable cause affidavit, on April 1 at 1 a.m., Bedford Police Department officers and an ambulance were called to the 3900 block of Pumphouse Road after a report that someone pulled Keller from the river and that they were performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Keller was revived and before being transported, Keeler hit and kicked officers and medical staff.
She was then restrained and taken to a local hospital and then spit on the face of Bedford Police officer Ross Jones while he was helping her out of the ambulance and continued to be combative with hospital staff and officer.
Keller was arrested Tuesday morning and is being held on a $7,500 surety, or $755 cash bond.
