(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he crashed his vehicle on Washboard Road early Thursday morning.
Lawrence County deputies arrested 21-year-old Josef Braun of Bedford on charges of operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.15 percent or greater and OWI per se.
Police were alerted to the wreck at 2:46 a.m. on Washboard Road near Burkwood Hills Lane.
When police arrived they found Braun out of his vehicle.
Police say Braun was traveling westbound on Washboard Road when he lost control of his vehicle, applied his brakes and slid off the south side of the road. The 1994 Toyota Camry's front driver's corner crashed into a tree causing the vehicle to spin broadside and flip onto the passenger side and then onto its top.
Braun suffered minor cuts and scrapes to his head, face and scalp, but refused medical attention at the scene.
He did tell police he had two drinks prior to the accident, but felt he was able to drive.
Braun submitted to a blood-alcohol test and was then transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
