(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Animal Shelter will be closed today for construction activity related to the facility’s renovation.
The Adoption Center will not be open for visitation; however, staff will be available to assist via phone with lost and found animals, adoption questions, and animal control issues.
Phone lines will remain open to take phone calls and dispatch Animal Control Officers during normal business hours. If you have a stray or missing animal, or need assistance from an Animal Control Officer, please call 812-349-3492. Outside of normal business hours, please call 812-339-1444.
The Shelter will resume its normal hours of operation on Friday, April 6.
The City of Bloomington Animal Shelter is open for visitation on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays from noon to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Adoptable animals and found animals can be seen on the Shelter website at https://bloomington.in.gov/animal-shelter.
