(BLOOMINGTON) - A group of four people told police they were robbed at gunpoint Saturday near the intersection of East 17th and North Lincoln streets.
The incident was reported around 2:45 a.m.
The group told police that two men, one armed with a handgun, demanded their wallets and cell phones.
Police found the stolen property, except for the cash that was in the wallets, a short distance from where the crime was committed.
Around the same time, a Pizza X delivery driver told police he was stopped at East 15th Street and North Lincoln Avenue just two blocks from the first robbery, by a man with a gun who demanded all of the cash he was carrying.
The delivery driver told officers he was leaving a house where he had just dropped a pizza off when the man approached him.
The delivery driver told police he turned his pockets inside out to prove to the robber he didn't have any cash on him.
The driver told police the robber heard the sirens, which scared him and caused him to flee.
Police say they are unsure at this time if the robberies are connected and both remain under investigation.
