(MITCHELL) - A Free Community Health event will be held Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Mitchell Community Center.
The event will be held rain or shine.
This free heart-health event is a great way for the whole family to have fun and get involved with the community.
There are activities for kids and adults alike, so bring your friends and family and blast off the summer with new healthy habits by watching wholesome food demos and sampling snacks, playing Comet Kickball, or walking on Mitchell's newest Blue Jacket Trail. Discover chair yoga and connect with the Mitchell Community Garden by exploring simple but effective gardening techniques.
Kids can come and play in the Deep Space Obstacle Course or Shooting Stars Tic-Tac- Toe Relay Race and have an out-of- this-world fun time.
This heart health community event is being hosted by IU students working with the Sustaining Hoosier Communities
initiative and Center for Rural Engagement to promote physical activity and support community health in Mitchell.
