(BEDFORD) - A star party will be held on Tuesday, at 8 p.m. at the Otis Park Shelter House at the top of the hill at Otis Park.
The program is the ninth program in the Bedford Park Outdoor Series.
Angie Timan will start the evening telling mythical stories about the stars and moon until it gets dark. She encourages families to bring their children and has handouts to share. Ray Robison also has some great stories and give people a chance to experience stars through binoculars as well as other objects in the sky. Want to learn how to use and focus a telescope? Mike Pritchett will be covering this part of this free program
Drive through Otis Park golf course and past the clubhouse to the top of the hill where the stone shelter house sits. It commands a grand view of the skies.
The weather looks good for April 17th but if in doubt, check the Bedford Park Department website or Facebook page to check for cancellation.
RSVP for the program at 812-275-5692 so we have enough handouts ready.
Mark your calendar for Tuesday, April 22, at 6 p.m. when the Outdoor Program Series will feature a program on bee keeping, given by Curtis McBride and the Bedford Beekeepers.
