(UNDATED) - Gas prices are going up, thanks to an increase in oil prices.
Gasbuddy.com warns that motorists could see prices likely as high as $2.79.
Analyst Patrick DeHaan said in a news release that prices in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio have started climb.
The rise at the pump comes as oil prices have hit their highest level since 2014, more than $67 per barrel, and the region nears the end of its transition to summer gasoline, and as refiners wrap up seasonal maintenance.
Motorists needing fuel are advised to shop around as stations follow one another to the higher price.
