(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence School Board voted to expanded preschool programming for the 2018-19 school year.
The half-day integrated preschool program at Parkview Primary will be expanded to a full-day. Students are evaluated through Joint Services to determine eligibility for 3 and 4-year-olds to enter the program.
Now the program will be extended to those with and without special needs.
In addition to the one full-day session, half-day morning and half-day afternoon classes will be offered.
The Lawrence County Boys and Girls Club, which offers an after-school program, will offer their services to students attending the half-day afternoon session or the full-day session.
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis with enrollment beginning in May. Parents interested in the program can pre-enroll their child on the Parkview Primary website. Entrance into the program for children with special needs will remain the same. Parents can contact Joint Services to schedule an evaluation.
