(ORANGE CO.) - The annual soup supper at Orange County’s old one-room Lynd School is planned for 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Also known as the Stamper's Creek Township School #2, is a historic one-room school located in Stampers Creek Township. The building remained in use as a school until 1964.
The school is located at 723 N. Lynd Rd., 0.6 miles north of the junction of State Road 56 and southeast of Orleans
The event will include an auction, door prizes and music.
The menu will include soup, dessert and a drink available for a donation. T
Proceeds will be used to maintaining the building, which was built 1874. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
