(MITCHELL) - Three people were arrested on multiple drug charges during a traffic stop last week in Mitchell.
Police arrested 56-year-old Michael Fair of Paoli on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana; 23-year-old Kody Moody of Mitchell on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana; 37-year-old Melissa Terry of Paoli on charges of possession of meth, visiting a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to court records on April 21 at 10:41 p.m. a Mitchell Police officer pulled over a GMC Yukon driven by Michael Fair at State Road 37 and Main Street because the vehicle did not have working license plate lights.
Police asked if there were any illegal substances in the vehicle. Fair told police there were none.
Police say Moody was "acting nervous" so police searched the vehicle after obtaining permission from Fair.
During a search of the vehicle police found a found a bag containing clothes and inside that bag police found syringes and a digital scale.
Officers searched Moody and found a baggy containing meth.
Inside the vehicle police found marijuana, meth in an open container near Terry and meth in her purse.
