(BLOOMINGTON) - Three alleged rapes were reported to the Bloomington Police Department this week, but police have made no arrested in the cases.
The first rape was reported Saturday afternoon. A 21-year-old woman told police she was raped by a coworker Friday night. The woman knows the suspect but no arrests have been made in the case. Bloomington Lt. John Kovach says the suspect is cooperating in the investigation.
The second rape was reported Sunday. A 19-year-old woman told police she thinks she was raped by two unknown men early Sunday morning. She did not want to press charges and did not identify the men who raped her.
The third rape was reported Tuesday. A 22-year-old woman went to the Bloomington Police Department to report she was raped during her 2014 senior high school prom. The woman told police that she had blacked out and her two friends that accompanied her to the police station were the ones that told her she had been raped at the time of the incident. The woman did go to the hospital after the alleged rape but no rape kit was performed.
