(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Saturday after he attacked an EMT inside of an ambulance in the 200 block of South Adams Street.
Bloomington Police arrested 50-year-old Mark Southern of Bloomington on charges of intimidation, disorderly conduct, battery and resisting arrest.
Officers were alerted to the attack at 2 p.m. when the ambulance pulled over after an EMT inside the ambulance was attacked by Southern.
After pulling over, Southern, who was a patient, climbed into the cab and attempted to assault the driver. The driver was able to pin Southern against the console and held him in the cab until police arrived and he was arrested.
Southern was taken to the Monroe County Jail where his bond is set at $4,500.
