(UNDATED) - Six people were injured in a three-vehicle accident on US 50 between Loogootee and Shoals, west of the Martin County Fairgrounds on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, a 2010 Chevrolet van, driven by Amanil Kahsay of Indianapolis, was traveling west on US 50 when the van went off the roadway and struck the guardrail. Kahsay overcorrected and traveled into the eastbound lane and struck a Toyota Tacoma driven by 51-year-old Scott Truelove of Shoals.
The van then continued on and struck a 2002 Dodge Ram, driven by 38-year-old John Graber of Loogootee, head-on.
Graber, his wife and two children were taken to Daviess County Memorial Hospital for treatment. His wife was later flown to St. Vincent's in Evansville.
Truelove who suffered minor injuries was taken to Daviess County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Kahsay, who was trapped in his van was freed and then flown to St. Vincent's Hospital in Evansville.
