(HUNTINGBURG) - A Huntingburg man was arrested after police were called to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of North Walnut Street.
Police were called to the home at 12:10 a.m.
When police from the Huntingburg Police Department and the Dubois County Sheriff's Department arrived they could hear yelling coming from a bedroom.
Police say the person yelling was asking 25-year-old Andrew Burch to leave the home, but he refused.
Officers entered the home and grabbed Burch's arm. Police say Burch pulled away and began swinging at officer. He then attempted to grab an officer's Taser as officer attempted to arrest Burch. An officer had to tase Burch to subdue him.
Officers were able to handcuff Burch who continued to kick and attempted to bite officer.
Inside the room Burch occupied, police found marijuana, six syringes, smoking pipes and pills.
He was booked into the Dubois County Security Center on felony charges of attempted to disarm a law enforcement officer, intimidation and unlawful possession of a syringes and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, battery of a police officer, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
