(HARDINSBURG) - A Louisville, KY. man died in a crash Sunday in Washington County.
According to Indiana State Police, the accident happened on US Highway 150 and Sinking Creek Lane in Hardinsburg.
The Indiana State Police is still investigating the afternoon crash that claimed the life of 35-year-old Jon Donlon and sent three others to area hospitals for treatment.
Donlon was pronounced dead at the scene.
At approximately 2:50 p.m., Washington County police were alerted to the accident.
Police say a 2003 Ford Explorer, being driven by 33-year-old Randy Tussey of Hardinsburg was traveling south on Sinking Creek Lane and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of US Highway 150.
He then crashed into the driver's side door of an eastbound 2010 Mazda on US Highway 150 being driven by Donlon.
Tussey suffered serious injuries and was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital.
A female passenger in Tussey's Ford Explorer also suffered serious injuries and was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital by ground ambulance.
A female passenger in Donlon's car was also seriously injured an transported by ground ambulance to the Floyd County Hospital.
Master Trooper Kevin Bowling of the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg is investigating this crash with the assistance of the Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team.
Assisting Agencies included the Washington County Sheriff's Department, Indiana Conservation Officers, Washington County Coroner's Office, Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Washington County E.M.S.
