Lawrence County Community Foundation Announces 2018 Pennington Grant Recipients

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 Pennington Grant Cycle.

The annual grant cycle is endowed by the Margie Marie Pennington Fund, which was created by a bequest from Miss Pennington, a former Lawrence County resident. All Pennington grant programs must benefit disadvantaged or homeless Lawrence County citizens, age sixty-five or older.

The Lawrence County Community Foundation board of directors approved grants totaling $18,400. Grantees and their projects follow:

Bedford Lions Club, Disabled/Handicapped Ramp Builds
Bertha's Mission, Meal Delivery to Elderly Disadvantaged
CWC Helping Hands Ministry, Helping Hands Assistance to Elderly Disadvantaged
Hoosier Hills Food Bank, Supplemental Senior Food Purchasing
Hoosier Uplands, Repair Program for Disadvantaged Elderly
Mitchell Senior Citizens, Looking Good: Lighting for Safety
Southern Indiana Adult Guardianship Services, Bridging the Gap
Purdue Extension Agency, Mitchell Nutrition Classes
