(LINTON) - A Linton man was arrested on felony charges of rape, criminal confinement, strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of strangulation.
Linton Police arrested 23-year-old Travis Jones after allegations that he refused to let the victim leave he residence after an argument about not having sex.
According to court reports, the victim provided a written statement about the incident. The victim states Jones allegedly struck the victim several time in the back of the head, choked them and then blocked the doorway refusing to let the victim leave.
The victim then was able to get free, but Jones grabbed the victim and dragged them into a bedroom and raped them.
The statement added when the victim was able to get free, Jones pulled the victim back into the bedroom. The argument allegedly stemmed from an argument about the victim not wanting to have intercourse with Jones.
