A trooper attempted to pull over 32-year-old Nathan Williams for driving 85 miles an hour, but police say Williams refused to stop and sped away at speeds of up to 110 miles an hour.
His vehicle developed engine problems and came to a stop about 12 miles later.
Williams is being held without bond in the Pike County Jail on charges of resisting arrest with a vehicle, reckless driving, operating a vehicle while being a habitual traffic violator, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He was also wanted on a warrant out of Pike County.
