NLCS School Board Approves 2018-19 School Year

(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence Community School Board approved the 2018- 2019 school calendar Thursday night.

August 8 - First Teacher Day
August 9 - First Student Day
September 3 - Labor Day - No School
October 5 - End of First 9 weeks
October 15-19 - Fall Break - No School
November 6 - Election Day - No School
November 21-23 - Thanksgiving Break - No School
December 20 - Last Student Day before Christmas Break (End of Second 9 weeks)
December 21, 2018 - January 2, 2019 - Christmas Break
January 3 - First Student Day After Christmas Break
January 21 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day - No School/Make Up Day
March 8 - End of Third 9 weeks
March 25-29 - Spring Break - No School
May 7 - Primary Election - No School
May 23 - Last Day for Students (End of Fourth 9 weeks)

If it is necessary, No School/Make Up Days will be used to make up student instructional days. Any
additional days missed beyond those designated above will be added to the end of the scheduled school
year.
