(PAOLI) - The Paoli School Board is expected to vote on a new superintendent during their meeting on May 14.
The name of that individual has not been made public, but they are expected to take office on June. 1.
Gerald Jackson is currently serving as interim superintendent following the resignation of Casey Brewster.
Brewster was suspended for failure to manage the financial affairs of the school corporation in a prudent, reasonable or professional manner, placing the corporation in financial distress and for failure to make satisfactory/acceptable progress in academic affairs as reflected in corporation standardized tests scores, Indiana Department of Education regulatory actions and the absence of a suitable academic plan.
Brewster resigned before the school board could vote on whether to terminate his contract.
