(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened early Wednesday morning at the Circle K located at West Kirkwood and South Rogers Street.
Police were called to the gas station at 1:45 a.m. after a report that a black male with silver handgun pointed the weapon at the clerk and demanded all the money from the register.
According to Capt. Steve Kellams, once the male got the cash, he fled on foot from the store.
He is described at 5-feet, 8 inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He wore a gray shirt underneath a pink hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black gloves and a black ski mask.
Police found a pink hooded sweatshirt discarded west of the gas station.
The case remains under investigation and police have reviewed security video.
