(SULLIVAN CO.) - Terre Haute Police say a man wanted for the murder of 77-year-old Alice Oswald has been arrested in Nevada.
Police say 55-year-old Kenneth Pitts Jr. was apprehended at a campsite by Las Vegas Police.
In addition to murder, Pitts is wanted for burglary, altering the scene of a death, arson, and obstruction of justice.
Earlier - Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom says a man wanted for murder in Vigo County has been known to frequent Sullivan County.
Cottom says 55-year-old Kenneth Pitts Jr. is wanted by Terre Haute Police for the murder of Alice Oswald.
In addition to Murder, Pitts is wanted for Burglary, Altering the Scene of a Death, Arson, and Obstruction of Justice.
Cottom says detectives have reason to believe Pitts may be attempting to alter his appearance and may be using false identification.
Pitts should be considered armed and dangerous.
