(WILLIAMS) - A Williams man was injured after he crashed his motorcycle Sunday night on State Road 450 West near Williams Dam Road.
Police were alerted to the accident at 7:02 p.m.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 55-year-old Perry Lagenour suffered pain to his right thigh and a large bleeding laceration or road rash to his right lower arm.
Police say Lagenour was traveling west on State Road 450 near the west end of Williams Dam Road when he rounded a curve and began up a hill. He told police he was not sure what happened but believed he crossed a gravel road and lost control of his 1983 Honda VF1100 in the gravel. The bike went down on the right side leaving a 65-foot long scrape mark on the roadway.
Lagenour was not wearing a helmet during the incident.
Lagenour was able to drive the motorcycle from the scene, then left in another vehicle to be treated at IU Health Hospital.
