(BEDFORD) - The winning ducks have crossed the finish line in the 6th Annual Ugly Duck Derby.
The event took place Saturday night from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at John Lowery Municipal Pool.
All proceeds from the Ugly Duck Derby will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County. This year the Derby raised an estimated $40,000.
The club serves more than 2,500 Lawrence County kids a year providing after school programs including sports, art classes, homework help, robotics, cooking and more.
Community members adopted ducks or a flock of ducks and waited to see which duck would cross the finish line first.
Back by popular demand were past past winners and fan favorites competing in the 2018 Belly Buster Competition.
The past winners are Gary Dorsett, Gavin Steele, Derek George, Steve Weber and Angie Timan. The fan favorites include Terry Tlustek, Ryan Sullivan and Noah Browning. Newcomers Adam Young and DeWayne Turpen also took to the boards.
Top contenders were Angie Tieman, Damon Hale and Gavin Steele.
But taking the title as top belly buster was Damon Hale!

In the $100 Duck Race... Warren Chang won the $2,500 cash prize and then donated it back to the Boys & Girls Club.
