Bedford Police arrested 39-year-old John Bogue of Bedford on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OWI endangerment, neglect of a dependent, criminal recklessness and criminal mischief. He was cited for failure to use turn signal, unsafe start and having no insurance

According to the police report, 30-year-old Timothy Ikerd of Bedford told police Bogue was displaying signs of road rage and had exited his vehicle and began physically hitting Ikerd's vehicle.

Bogue then got back into his 2003 GM Envoy XL began ramming the rear of Ikerd's 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Officers found Bouge and conducted a traffic stop. Police say Bouge showed all the signs of being intoxicated.

Bouge's wife was in the vehicle at the time of the incident. She told police there was no insurance on the vehicle.

Bouge refused to submit to a breath test so officers obtained a warrant for a blood draw and he was taken to a local hospital for testing. Those results are pending.

Chief Terry Moore say Bouge was charged with resisting arrest because Bouge failed to comply with officers after he was located after leaving the scene. He resisted officers while they were handcuffing him and placing him in the patrol vehicle for transport.

He was then charged with disorderly conduct because of his unruly behavior to medical staff and other patients in the emergency room after being asked numerous times to stop.
