(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Board of Works approved the promotions of two Bedford Police officers.
Officer Jesse Crane was promoted to sergeant and Sgt. Morgan Lee to captain. The promotions are probationary and will become permanent after six months.

Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore also presented a commendation award to Officer Crane for "going above and beyond what an officer would be responsible for" at the scene of a serious accident March 21.
