(BLOOMINGTON) - Monroe County sheriff’s deputies arrested 39-year-old Bryan McElhone, Thursday, on two charges of child molesting, fondling and touching a child younger than 14 during sleepover parties that took place last year.
The Herald Times reports that police began their investigation after police were contacted on Sept. 16, 2017 after a girl came home early from a sleepover at McElhone's home on Eller Road and told her parents McElhone had touched her and got into bed with her.
Then in October, 2017, deputies received a second report accusing McElhone of inappropriately touching a girl during a September sleepover at his home.
As the girls who attended sleepovers confided in one another, a third girl came forward with her own allegations.
During a January interview McElhone told detectives he was 'not a creep and denied touching the girls intentionally or accidentally and that he had only ticked the girls feet or ribs in fun.
McElhone was arrested on a warrant Thursday night, and he is being held at the Monroe County Jail on a $10,500 bond.
Officials from Indiana's Department of Child Services assisted with the investigation.
