(DAVIESS COUNTY) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a complete road closure on State Road 57 near Plainville for bridge rehabilitation project.
Beginning on or around Thursday, July 5, contractors will close S.R. 57 less than a half-mile south of the S.R. 358 northern junction. This project will require a full closure of the road. Crews will repair areas of the bridge, mill and repave.
During the project, the closure will be in place around the clock. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. The official detour uses S.R. 57, U.S. 50, I-69 and U.S. 231. Work is expected to be complete by the end of July depending upon weather conditions.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
