(HUNTINGBURG) - In conjunction with High-Speed Huntingburg, a local partnership between PSC and the City of Huntingburg to bring Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) to all residences and businesses located within the city limits, free WiFi is now available on 4th Street between Geiger and Van Buren Streets.
"Downtown Huntingburg has long been a destination for residents and visitors alike," says Mayor Spinner. "We feel that offering free WiFi is just another amenity that will attract people from across the region to our community. We are grateful to have a trusted partner in PSC and for their continued investment in our community."
Dubois County Free Press reports, visitors to 4th Street will have access to 5 megabyte download speeds, similar to the internet available at League Stadium. According to Dave Buse, the download speed is adjustable according to future demands.
"High-Speed Huntingburg has launched and fiber optics is now available city-wide," says Jim Dauby, PSC's President and CEO. "We look forward to continuing to work with the City of Huntingburg and further investing in this great community. Free Wi-Fi to those visiting and shopping along historic 4th Street, is just one small way of helping the city attract more people to that area."
