(INDIANAPOLIS) - Summer gas prices are already breaching the highest they’ve been in several years and Hoosiers will be paying just a little bit more starting in July.
Starting July 1, you'll be paying one cent more in tax per gallon of gas across Indiana as part of the yearly increase approved along with the 10-cent fuel tax increase the state's legislature enacted last year.
Indiana's fuel tax increase was part of a package of tax and fee increases that pumped money into upgrading Indiana's crumbling roads and bridges.
Indiana's fuel tax rose from 18 cents to 28 cents last July with the option to go up 1 cent each year moving forward.
