(HELTONVILLE) - A Heltonville man was arrested Sunday night on charges of strangulation, battery and invasion of privacy after an incident on June 1.
Police say 38-year-old Jason Todd was arrested without incident and transported to the Lawrence County Jail at 11:44 p.m.
Police say the charges stem from an incident on the morning of June 1.
The woman called police saying she and Todd had got into an argument at their home in Heltonville which led to a physical altercation.
"The victim reported being thrown to the floor and on a couch where she was strangled," Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults says. "The victim then reported that she was physically thrown out of the residence. Officers, during their investigation, noticed bruises to the victims left and right biceps and left shin."
The report was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor's office at the conclusion of the investigation and a warrant was issued for Todd on the charges listed.
