(DUGGER) - A Dugger man has died after he fell into a private pond in Dugger.
Indiana Conservation Officers responded around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday to the private property when witnesses observed 69-year-old Michael Reynolds floating face down in the water.
CPR was initiated and continued until after first responder's arrival. Reynolds was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported that Reynolds had gone to the dock at the private pond to feed the fish, and when he didn't return they started to search for him.
It is unknown if drowning was the official cause of death at this point. Officials say Reynolds had an extensive medical history. An autopsy is scheduled at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
Sullivan County Sheriff's Department, Scout One Ambulance Service, and Union Township Fire Department all assisted at the scene.
