(BLOOMFIELD) - An Odon man was arrested after police say he locked a woman in a house and pushed her several times.
Police arrested 23-year-old Jarrod Cornelius on charges of confinement, residential breaking and entering and domestic battery.
According to police, on June 1, a Bloomfield woman called police saying Cornelius locked her in her house and wouldn't let her leave.
The woman told police she had been working on her online classes when she and Cornelius got into an argument. Cornelius allegedly pushed the woman several time down onto a couch and stopped her from leaving the house. The woman says she felt intimidated and feared for her life.
The woman was able to get up and attempted to leave, but Cornelius blocked the doorway. The victim threatened to bite him if he didn't move. She then went to another room where Cornelius made her sit down and shouted "Stay."
Cornelius then began gathering items in the home as if he was going to leave. The victim told police she attempted to leave and Cornelius grabbed her hard. The victim attempted to grab a door handle, the wall, and the fridge. That is when Cornelis threw her over his shoulder and threw her on the bed and turned the light off saying "Since you did that, you have to sit in the dark."
