(BLOOMINGTON) - Did you know that any Indiana resident can get a borrower’s card to check out books from the IU Libraries, even if you’re not affiliated with IU? Best of all, it’s free! https://libraries.indiana.edu/borrowers-card
Residents of the State of Indiana, Big Ten Academic Alliance (formerly CIC) Scholars, and OCLC Scholars are eligible for borrower's cards at Indiana University.
In most cases, a valid Indiana Driver's license or Indiana State Identification card are required when requesting a borrower's card. There is no charge for this service. Borrower's Cards may be obtained at the Wells Library Research Collections Circulation Desk during regular operating hours; if you wish to visit another campus library to obtain a Borrower's Card, we advise you call ahead.
For more information, review Circulation Policies prior to your visit.
Students, faculty, and staff of Indiana University and persons affiliated with Indiana University generally use their IU-issued ID to borrow library materials; for more details, see information about library cards.
Visiting scholars and research associates must have an Employee ID number to register their account.
