(SEYMOUR) - Three people were arrested on theft charges after they stole items from a Seymour store and their vehicle was stopped by an Indiana State trooper near Edinburgh.
An Indiana State Trooper stopped a vehicle on Interstate 65, just north of Edinburgh, that matched the description of a vehicle used in a theft from a Seymour store.
Police arrested 21-year-old Measha Dashanik Wilburn, 20-year-old Melvin Thomas Sanders Jr. and 23-year-old Anthony Tyrone Jordan Jr., all of Indianapolis, on charges of theft. Wilburn was also wanted on two outstanding warrants.
Just after 5 p.m. Thursday, Seymour police were called to a theft at a store in Seymour, where three people took armfuls of clothing and drove away.
The trooper stopped the vehicle that matched the description from the theft, and found the stolen items in the vehicle.
The items filled four trash bags and are estimated to be valued around $2,000, police say.
All three were taken to the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown where they are being held without bond.
