(WASHINGTON) - The Washington Animal Control Shelter has over two dozen kittens available.
The influx of felines is a common issue during summer months when feral cats breed.
Animal Control Officer Jordan Fields told the Washington Times Herald cats can have two to three litters per year with up to eight kittens per litter which means one cat turns to 20 every year. He says there are hundreds of feral cats running around Washington and urges anyone with a cat problem to call the shelter.
If you are looking for a cat for a pet, you can adopt one at the shelter. The cost is $40 which includes a spay and neuter voucher.
