(COLUMBUS) - A Hope man was arrested on several charges of child molesting Saturday night after Indiana State Police received a complaint at the CERAland Campgrounds.
Troopers arrived at the campgrounds and began their investigation and as details about the case emerged they contacted the Versailles State Police Post and requested a detective to respond to assist.
After officers completed their preliminary investigation at the campgrounds they arrested 72-year-old Larry Lee Scott, of Hope, on charges of child molestation, child exploitation, vicarious sexual gratification, child solicitation, sexual battery and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was incarcerated at the Bartholomew County Jail.
Scott was an employee at the campground. CERAland Park, is a nonprofit in Columbus which began in 1963 by the Cummins Employees Recreation Association.
ISP Sgt. Jerry D. Goodin says the investigation is ongoing with additional leads to investigate.
