(BEDFORD) - Summertime is a good time to enjoy sweet music along with a cool breeze.
One way to do that is to attend a free "Summer Stage Series" at Harp Commons.
Concerts will be every Friday night. The first band will perform at 6 p.m. with the second taking the stage at 8 p.m. for the months of July and August. Food trucks will line up along J Street on the first, third and fifth Fridays of each month.
Bring a lawn chair, grab some food from a food truck on site, and support some great local talent!
Bloomington musician Dave "Thumper" Pruet and Bedford Revitalization Inc.'s Tim Thompson and Susan Gales are organizing the events. Pruet is pursuing musical talent, while Thompson is recruiting food trucks.
Music will range from solo acts to eight-piece bands and will include a vast array of music genres. All of the musicians are performing free of charge. Officials are asking those attending to offer monetary tips.
OnStage Productions LLC is providing sound and lighting during the first season
