(MITCHELL) - The Friends of the Mitchell Community Public Library have received a grant of $8,500 through the Lawrence County Community Foundation in partnership with the GM Foundation, which will fund a number of STEM programs called “Teens and Tech.”
Students in Mitchell have limited access to technology and few opportunities to explore the value of STEM education. The library is collaborating with local schools to provide teens with opportunities to learn about various aspects of technology that, in turn, will provide them with future opportunities for an improved quality of life.
