Rob German Hired As Mitchell School Resource Officer

(MITCHELL) - Mitchell Police Merit Board has hired Rob German as the new school resource officer.

German, who is the DARE officer in Mitchell and a veteran Lawrence County Sheriff's Department officer, will have an office on the second floor of the high school. He will also have a presence at the junior high and elementary school.

German is a 2004 graduate of Mitchell High School and lives in Mitchell with is wife and two children.

German will attend a 40-hour school resource officer training in New Castle Aug. 6-10.
