(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman wanted on a warrant was arrested Wednesday morning after police found her hiding in the basement and she became combative with police.
Bedford Police officers went to the home of 38-year-old Jessica Abner in the 1710 block of 23rd Street at 8 a.m.
Police were looking for Abner who was wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke.
According to Chief Terry Moore they found Abner hiding in the basement.
"Officers went to place handcuffs on her and she pulled away to prevent it from happening," Chief Moore added. "Officers had to forcibly place handcuffs on her while she was kicking and scratching, which caused her to be charges with two additional charges."
Abner was arrested on the warrant for petition to revoke, resisting arrest and battery causing bodily injury to a police officer.
"Once outside she continued to yell and curse after being told several times to stop," Chief Moore added. "Therefore, was charged with the disorderly conduct.
