(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington woman reported she was robbed at knifepoint in an alleyway across from Shalom Community Center on Thursday morning.
A witness to the robbery told police they saw a white male in his later 30's in a t-shirt and jeans in an argument in the alley. The woman who was attacked, left the area before police arrived. She later gave police a different description of the male that attacked her.
The woman told police that she was walking down the alley around 9:20 a.m. when a man in a red pickup truck pulled up behind her and got out. The man walked toward her yelling "give me your purse." The woman told police he then grabbed her by the neck and threatened her with a long silver hunting knife. During a struggle to pull the purse away from the woman, she fell and the man left with her purse.
